Well folks, it's that time again. Tomorrow is February 1 and it's time for Mr. Ojeda and Marcus to start preparing the 2010 Sports Camp. This year's camp promises to be the best ever. We are planning activities that will blow you away. This year, we are changing field trips from the Oakland A's game to Jump Sky High. This is a trampoline house which allows you to jump as high as possible, do flips, and play dodge ball on trampolines. It's an awesome experience. For more information visit jumpskyhigh.com.
This year also promises to be very interesting as ESCS SportsCamp graduated its very first class in 2009. New comers will head into the Major Division with high expectations of winning a camp championship. With so many of the original group now moving on to the coaching world, questions surround the defending champs. Can coach Amanda Delgado get the Predators to repeat as champs making them the first 3 time champion in Sports Camp History? Or will the Rattlers step up and make it to 3 first and claim 3 titles in 4 years, creating a dynasty? Or will the Rampage, Rebels, or Panthers step up and claim their first one? Can coach Taylor Bradbury get over the hump and claim his first title after being denied 3 times already? You have to be there to find out!
In the Junior Division, last year, coach Daniel Ojeda brought the Mustangs from a 6-13-5 record to win the Junior Championship. It was only the 2nd time in history that a team with a losing record won the title in either division. In 2003, coach Marcus Williams took the Warriors with a 3-5-1 record to the title, crushing the top-ranked Matrix. Now things get interesting though as a great majority of the Junior Division is stepping up to the Majors this year. The question now is can coach Daniel Ojeda get the Mustangs to repeat and claim their 3rd title? Will Coach Matt Heden get the Hornets to reclaim what was theirs and get to a 3rd title? Or will Coach Bibb use his # 1 draft pick very carefully and draft a leader that will lead him back to the Winner's Circle? Or can the Raiders and Cobras step up to claim their first title ever? Again, you have to be there to find out!
Flyers and brochures will be available at the School Carnival on Feb. 6th. Make sure that you fill out the forms and turn them in as quickly as possible to ensure your spot. They will fill fast. If you have any questions, see Mr. Ojeda on the Elementary Campus or Marcus on the Junior High/High School Campus.
We look forward to a great summer. God bless! |
